Matthew Long co-founded [C]Worthy in 2022 with Alicia Karspeck and David Ho. Prior to [C]Worthy, Matt was a Scientist in the Oceanography Section of the Climate & Global Dynamics Laboratory at the National Center for Atmospheric Research where he conducted research related to the carbon cycle, ocean biogeochemistry, and marine ecosystems in the context of climate variability and change. Matt holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in civil and environmental engineering from Tufts University and a Ph.D. in oceanography from Stanford University.
